I’m so pleased about all of the wonderful companies I discovered at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim this past weekend!  And not just because I’m finding products that care about providing parents with healthy, convenient foods that we can pack in a sack lunch or give as a guilt-free snack, but also because these companies are also passionate about giving away their products to YOU to taste-test.

Yes, it’s day 4 of our week-long giveaway!

Up next? Ricebliss: A creamy brown-rice Superfood.

When I saw the Ricebliss booth at Natural Expo West, I had to take pause. There before me stood a product that was obviously made with care. Care for our youth, care for our elderly, care for our overall health. This century-old porridge recipe has been enhanced and modified by a California family who uses organic brown rice that is locally grown and milled at a third-generation farm also located right here in Southern California.

This slow-kettled creamy, dreamy treat is a delight to eat. In three glorious flavors: Cocoa, Corn and Sweet Pea, Ricebliss can be served cold or hot and microwaved in under a minute!

FDA-approved gluten-free and non-GMO, Ricebliss uses organic soymilk, is chocked-full of magneisum, selenium and other nutrients, which have been shown to help reduce the risk of heart disease and aid in weight maintenance. It’s a superfood for all ages, and it tastes great too!

Would you like to try Ricebliss before they’re even available on the market?  Here’s your chance!

Sack Lunch Series: Insider Trading (a Rant)

September 28, 2011

My daughter is in kindergarten, folks. Kindergarten. And she’s already been exposed to trading foods at lunchtime.
